Russell Wilson's Rolling Stone Cover: Football Star FaceTimes Ciara to Critique Performances
Ciara is a proud girlfriend! Her boyfriend, Russell Wilson, made the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine. Besides talking about football, Wilson's private life with Ciara was also revealed, including one time when he FaceTimed the singer to critique her performance.
On the cover, Wilson gives his fans and Rolling Stone readers a picture of his goofy side as he wears his Seattle Seahawks jersey proudly. His girlfriend, Ci-Ci, shared that new image and captioned her Instagram photo: "What A Moment. Proud Of My [heart emoji] @DangeRussWilson #RollingStone"
As Wilson gave his interview about life and what led to him becoming a star quarterback, he was watching Ci-Ci's not so great national anthem performance at the baseball All-Star Game in Cincinnati.
As the camera rolled, and Wilson watched, he started filming his girlfriend. Wilson noticed a slight hiccup as his woman was singing. "She's pulling at her earpiece. She can't hear herself," he told the Rolling Stone interviewers.
Wilson must know his lady, but he was right. When he FaceTimed Ciara after she was done singing, he told her, "Baby, you did great, but I could tell you couldn't hear yourself."
Ciara's smiled and replied during their conversation, "I know, it went dead right before we went on. Did it sound OK?" Wilson replied back, "You were great. Love you. See you tomorrow. Can't wait."
In the new issue, "family" was a key role in the football star's life. Wilson and his brother, Harry, talk about their late father, Harrison Wilson III, who died from complications of diabetes back in 2010.
Wilson's father would play catch with his sons in the mornings before they would go to school, and try to never miss a game. "Harrison Wilson could do no wrong," the football star said about his father.
Hard to believe that Wilson was a bully back in the day, but he claims he was. "I was a bully," Wilson said, adding that his father told him that he "used to beat up people, throw people against the wall and knock their teeth out." His older brother Harry says that Wilson may be exaggerating some. Harry admitted that Russell did have a temper, but not bad enough to "terrorize kids."
Besides making the cover of Rolling Stone, Wilson is probably proud of his lady's amazing body after she gave birth to her son, who she shares with rapper Future.
In the photo below, Ci-Ci shows off her toned figure in an all white bodysuit for her own cover shoot with Shape Magazine, out in September.
