Jay-Z Gives Beyonce A $170,000 Surprise Party Celebrating Her Super Bowl Halftime Performance Success
Jay-Z knows when to give surprises and how well to. He threw a surprise party to celebrate his wife and singer Beyonce's success at the Super Bowl Halftime show. The party was after the Super Bowl performance and the rapper reportedly spent $170,000 gifting his wife a watch and expensive champagne to the guests.
The 43-year-old rapper wanted to show his wife his support and mark the big day. Beyonce was joined by her Destiny Child's bandmates, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
"Beyoncé was over the moon with the surprise party. Everyone was watching as Jay-Z scooped her up for a kiss," said an insider to the Daily Star.
"But then suddenly he grabbed a giant bottle of pink Armand de Brignac champers, shook it up, and sprayed it over her, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams."
"They were all laughing and dancing and didn't seem to mind getting their hair getting wet. He even soaked all of their hickory chicken wings and club sandwiches. The room was full of expensive champagne," source added.
The rapper husband reportedly gifted Beyonce with $93,858, diamond-encrusted watch that had "Mrs. Carter" carved on its back. He then poured champagne worth $15,000 on Beyonce and her bandmates.
Beyonce's show of 12 minutes was seen by 108.41 million people, while the same by Madonna in 2012 was seen by 112.5 million, Entertainmentwise reported.
