Apparently, all of that talk about Manchester United submitting transfer bids for Brazilian footballer Neymar was simply speculation and nothing more. Basically, what happened was Barcelona upped Neymar's buyout to deter any bids and then signed the player for five more years, solidifying this venture with a new contract. We previously reported on about half of this news, but now we have Neymar himself confirming he has no plans of going to Manchester.

"When I hear things like that, I don't think about it," the 23-year-old star player told Marca this week, according to ESPN FC. "I hear them, but I'm totally at ease. I'm very happy at Barca and with my teammates. Barca fans have nothing to worry about."

In fact, Neymar is making sure fans believe him by talking about the future of the club, saying he's looking forward to "another great season."

"I don't know if we can score as many goals, but we'll try. We want trophies for our team," he said.

Neymar made his debut for Barcelona this weekend, the second game of the season, which ended in a 1 - 0 victory over Malaga. The striker missed two weeks of practice and the season opener due to mumps.

We recently reported on another Premier League transfer that is actually panning out to be true. Read more on this news here!
