Eminem Arrest Hack: Teen's 'I'm Back' Instagram Gun Threat Sparks School Closing, Jail Time

Rapper Eminem's hard-hitting tune "I'm Back" recently got a Fresno teen in extreme trouble thanks to a troubling Instagram post inspired from The Marshall Mathers LP hit. The cyber threats were so concerning, administrators were forced to close school on Monday (August 31).

But according to the unidentified 15-year-old suspect, his account was actually hacked. According to representing attorney Linden Lindahl, the entire situation's a huge misunderstanding:

"He said that he did not post it. He did not give his password to anyone else but his guess is that it was hacked... He was cooperative. He spoke with the officers. Denied being bullied. Denied posting the Instagram. He position is we don't know how it came up on Instagram but he didn't do it" (via abc30.com).

But after police searched the boy's home earlier this week, guns were seized. Authorities also took an iPhone, iPad, and other computer devices and will now investigate to see if online hackers were indeed involved. Chief Jerry Dyer later released this statement:

"Certainly the weapons were present. The ammunition was present and perhaps even the mindset was present... They always come in and take the modem. Take the guts of the computer and examine it and tear it apart and see what was there before anything was deleted. The computer tells all. Nothing is ever gone from the computer."
