Eminem vs. Obie Trice Beef: 'F*cked Up' Ghostwriter Scandal Apology Sparks New Diss Track?
Back in 2013, former Shady Records rapper Obie Trice allegedly accused Eminem of "rewriting" his own lyrics. Loyal #Stans quickly trashed The Hangover emcee for suggesting such seedy allegations, and now Trice finally hopes to clear the air.
According to the 37-year-old Black Market Entertainment mogul, Vlad TV 's exclusive interview ultimately deemed "Obie Trice: Eminem Rewrote Verses After Hearing Mine" was taken completely out of context:
"I'm [going to] make this clear," the Detroit native explains in a recent follow-up. "And I want it to be on camera, so you understand what I'm saying. Because your sh*t come out like, 'Obie said he made Eminem rewrite his verse.' I didn't say [that]... What I said was that when I made a verse, he saw my lyrics. He listened to the lyrics and he heard the rap. He was like, 'F*ck that. I'm [going to] rewrite my sh*t.' The title implicated that I made him in a way - like sonning him and sh*t. It's so many ways you could have worded it, but you worded it in a way for - mean and viciously" (via HipHopDX.com).
Makes more sense now?
But if the infamous "Rap God" did ever use a ghostwriter, Trice believes he'd only get major backlash from diehard hip-hip fans:
"Nothing would happen to him as far as his celeb and his star status and who he is as an emcee... I don't think that it would tarnish anything. But I think the real hip-hop motherf*ckers -the real people - yeah, I think it would f*ck 'em up. That'd be f*cked up if they found out that Eminem wasn't writing his sh*t."
Will Shady even bother to respond, perhaps with a new epic diss track?
