Cecil Lion Killer: Dentist Walter Palmer Going Back to Work Despite Being Hated by Everyone

It's being reported that Walter Palmer, the dentist who made headlines by killing a Zimbabwean lion named Cecil some time ago, is finally going back to work. And despite being possibly the most hated man in America – for a few weeks, at least – Palmer believes that the disruption he's caused to the lives of his employees now must end.

The Associated Press reports that Palmer announced on Sunday that he'll be heading back to work towards the end of this week, noting that he has "a lot of staff members" and feels "a little heartbroken at the disruption in their lives."

Furthermore, Palmer claimed that he's a health professional, which is exactly why he must get back to both his staff and patients. Also, "...they want me back. That's why I'm back."

That, and maybe he needs to take his mind off being a terrible human being constantly in the press.

Of course, heading back to work won't be the most pleasant experience; Gawker has a picture of what the front of his practice looks like. The door is covered with a sign that reads: "ROT IN HELL" on top of one that says: "PALMER THERE'S A DEEP CAVITY WAITING FOR YOU!"

Oh boy...

The below Instagram image contains graphic language.

From the interview with AP, it seems Palmer hasn't been hiding as of late, more so just "among, people, family and friends," he says. And about heading back out to Zimbabwe for more hunting extravaganzas, he claims, "I don't know about the future," adding, "Zimbabwe has been a wonderful country for me to hunt in ... and I have always followed the laws."

Which is probably an answer that won't make the American public like him any more. Just saying.

So, thoughts?
