Robert Pattinson Hurt, Avoids Kristen Stewart & FKA Twigs? Skips Venice Film Festival HOAX

Wedding bells still aren't in Robert Pattinson's near future, although the beloved "Twilight" heartthrob proposed to stunning English songstress FKA Twigs back in March. Does that mean R-Patz still holds strong (hidden) feelings for longtime ex-girlfriend, Kristen Stewart?

Pattinson was scheduled to attend the highly-anticipated Venice Film Festival just last month in promotion of his new movie, "The Childhood of a Leader." But because the 29-year-old actor's busy at work filming another flick in Ireland ("The Lost City of Z"), he had to skip the event.

Although such obligations have NOTHING to do with Stewart, rumors now suggest that Pattinson bailed because he didn't want to risk an "awkward" run-in with the "Equals" starlet. An alleged insider tells the New York Post:

"He didn't want the story to be all about how he and Kristen were nearly bumping into each other. Venice is very small, and there are only so many parties and hotels."

Right...

Funny, considering several gossip webloids are now reporting on Pattinson's attempt at dodging such K-Stew drama!

Robsten has already attended several of the same ceremonies following their break-up. They're never spotted together, but the situation's never weird.

Pattinson also had to miss the premiere of "Life" at Monday's Deauville American Film Festival (September 7) because he's still in Belfast. But of course that's not a big deal, because Stewart wasn't there either...

Meanwhile, more legit sources tell GossipCop.com that such seedy outlets are simply trying to "create drama when there is none." Pattinson's relationship with Twigs is going extremely well, and Stewart's definitely not in the picture anymore. And it's been that way for years!
