While many consider American Idol to be the best experience of their lives, including some of the winners of the show like Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson and Jordin Sparks, there are some that truly regret agreeing to be part of the series. In fact, we previously reported that Mariah Carey said that it was one of the "worst experiences" of her life. Well it looks like another famous face is agreeing with Carey on her evaluation. Ellen DeGeneres, who brought the funny to the series back in season 9, says that she doesn't have the fondest memories of her time while filming the FOX show.  According to Us Weekly, the TV talk show host, who starred with fellow judges Kara DioGuardi, Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson on the show, opened up about her experience, saying, "that's one of the worst decisions I've made."

While appearing on Howard Stern's SiriusXM show earlier this week, DeGeneres says that she found it so hard because she didn't want to hurt any of the contestants' feelings, according to People.

Watch a clip of Ellen below talking about the season 13 premiere of her talk show.

"As a fan of the shows, it doesn't matter that I sing or that I know anything about pitch or anything," the comedienne explained to the radio host. "I'm like everybody else at home. It's American Idol. And you're watching and you're a fan. So I thought, I can't break this person's heart. I mean, let somebody else do that."

Howard agreed with the 57-year-old funny girl, saying that he had the same feelings in regards to judging America's Got Talent.

"I found this too, when I started doing America's Got Talent. You think it's going to be easy to tell someone honestly what you think," the DJ explained.

Mariah Carey also gave her honest opinion about the reality show earlier this year, saying, "I don't think they had any intentions for us to have a good experience doing that show."
