Bobby Brown's First Interview After Bobbi Kristina's Death: "When God Calls You, he Calls You"
Things were calm instead of hype on the season 2 premiere of The Real. MStars News has learned that Bobby Brown participated in his first interview since his daughter Bobbi Kristina died. The father and R&B singer told the ladies of the show he believed, "When God calls you, he calls you."
Before his heartfelt interview, The Real gave a sneak peek of Brown's interview where he said that things would've probably been different if he had got to his daughter a few days before she was found unresponsive in her Roswell, Georgia home back in January of this year.
"I might walk back there and start crying," Brown said pointing to backstage as he sat on The Real's set. "If I could have been there two days before, it wouldn't have went down like that," the 46-year-old claimed.
When asked what was his fondest memory of his daughter, Brown said, "Her smile," as he tried to remain calm without breaking down.
Brown wasn't alone in his interview, his second wife, Alicia Etheredge, also joined in to chat.
"We prayed and hoped for six months for something better to happen, but when God calls you, he calls you. I'm pretty sure her mother [Whitney Houston] had a part and was like ... 'Come on, let's get her up here,'" Brown joked. "[I mean that] in the best way possible, because she ... was just not comfortable by herself, I guess ... she just called my daughter with her."
Brown and his second wife welcomed their second child together just weeks before burying Bobbi Kristina. The couple had a baby girl who they named Bodhi Jameson Rein. They also have one older son together.
Brown is also the father of three other children from previous relationships.
MStars News has been there on the Bobbi Kristina tragedy since the beginning. She died on July 26 in hospice after never regaining consciousness after being found in her bath tub on January 31.
