John Cena honored a cancer-stricken 7-year-old during WWE's Monday Night Raw with the wrestler melting hearts of the whole arena. The professional wrestler took a moment out during his time in the ring to shed the spotlight on little Kiara Grindrod, who was sitting in the front of the crowd during the ceremony. The 7-year-old girl has been having a tough battle with cancer for awhile now, but has recently beat the illness thanks to treatment and her love for Monday Night Raw. She even received the amazing news just this past Friday!

Rather than have the crowd cheer for Cena in the ring, he made sure to step out and go honor Grindrod sitting in the crowd, calling her a “special fighter,” and getting the audience to chant “Yes!” for her as they all received the same great news that she got.

Cena, alongside his opponent Sting, headed over to Grindrod in their seats, where they gave them a big hug, while the crowd yelled out, “This is awesome!” repeatedly. Afterwards, Sting offered his signature glove to the little girl, who had the biggest smile on her face.

This is one of many philanthropic instances coming from John Cena, who has been heavily involved in the Make A Wish Foundation for years, having granted over 460 wishes for kids over the years.

Hundreds of terminally ill children request to spend a day, or hang out with the professional wrestler, and he grants them just about every time he can.

On top of coming to visit patients at the hospital, Cena also manages to bring some of the amazing kids backstage at matches and treats them to WWE t-shirts, wristbands and other merchandise that they can take home. There has even been an instance where a patient named Nick was able to be brought into the ring with Cena for his Monday Night Raw gig.

Despite his tough exterior in the ring, Cena seems to have a heart of gold.
