Jackie Collins Dead from Breast Cancer at 77: Twitter Remembers Famed Author

It's being reported that famed author Jackie Collins has died at the age of 77 from breast cancer. The novelist who brought the world the likes of Hollywood Wives, The World is Full of Married Men, and so many more, was famous for bringing to the public a dramatic version of the "most elite people and places," according to a report from Time magazine. Once word got out that Collins had died, Twitter immediately doled out numerous messages of honor for the late writer.

Collins was reportedly diagnosed with breast cancer roughly six years ago but never disclosed that information to the public. She primarily talked about her disease with her three daughters: Tracy, Tiffany and Rory.

After Collins had died, the family released a statement reading, "It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the death of our beautiful dynamic and one of a kind mother, Jackie Collins, who died of breast cancer today."

The statement further read that she "lived a wonderfully full life" and entertained readers for four decades. Calling her a "true inspiration," the family believed that she was a trailblazer for women in the creative field.
