Yogi Berra Dead: NY Yankees, Mets Player & Coach Dies at 90 Years Old

One of the most legendary baseball players of all time, Yogi Berra, has reportedly died at the age of 90. Berra, who spent much of his career in the MLB with both the New York Yankees and New York Mets (as both a player and a coach), died on Tuesday.

The New York Times reports that Berra's run with the Yankees included ten championships. As a manger, he brought both the Yankees and Mets to the World Series.

His death was announced by the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center over in Little Falls, NJ, as well as the Yankees organization. He resided in an assisted living center located in West Caldwell. Before that, he lived in Montclair, NJ.
