'Dancing With the Stars' Kim Zolciak Suffers a Mini Stroke
Dancing With the Stars' own Kim Zolciak is getting some much needed rest after suffering a mini stroke this week. According to E! News, Zolciak shared a photo from her hospital bed and revealed that the entire left side of her body went numb.
Following her health scare, Zolciak wrote: "The last 24hrs have been whirlwind! I landed yesterday morning from LAX (took the red eye right after DWTS) I got home and within minutes suffered a TIA (mini stroke) the left side of my body went completely numb and my speech was gone." The mother of six thanked her family and friends, continuing: "Extremely grateful for @sladeosborne @briellebiermann @nikitpressley @kroybiermann for quick reactions! I have 100%of my feeling back THANK GOD. Still in the hospital but I just know I'm getting released today!"
Zolciak believed that she would be released from the hospital on Thursday, but it seems she's still getting the care she needs. In the first photo, the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star was still in the hospital receiving hugs from her husband, Kroy Biermann. In that snapshot Zolciak wrote: "All that matters... FAMILY." One key thing Zolciak pointed out in her photo was her hashtag that read: "Crazy age doesn't matter." Her pal, Niki Toney-Pressley, updated fans letting them know that Zolciak was doing better, but also reminded everyone about the signs of a stroke. "SO GLAD SHES FEEING BETTER!!! One of the scariest days ever ....Know the signs of a STROKE: Think FAST -F- face A-arms S-speech T-time," she wrote. Zolciak hasn't been voted out on Dancing With the Stars, but with her condition, it's unclear when she will continue with the show.
Before her mini stroke, Zolciak took a red-eye flight back to Atlanta after Tuesday night's show, went home and complained that she felt under the weather. She also cancelled rehearsal with her dance partner, Tony Dovolani.
It was Zolciak who checked herself into the hospital. MStars News hopes this hot mama bounces back to good health soon.
