Minaj's "Fame" comic is written by Michael Troy and illustrated by Jill Lamarina.
As Vibe notes, the comic description reads:
From her humble beginnings in Jamaica to her humble upbringing in Queens New York to her spotlight alongside high profile judges on the Panel of American Idol (including her infamous feuding with Mariah Carey.) Nicki Minaj came to conquer, to win, and she did. Bluewater Comics introduces the latest in it's popular 'Fame' series which focuses on the lives of celebrities. Join writer Michael Troy and artist Jill Lamarina as they explore the life and times of mega hip Hop talent Nicki Minaj.
Previous celebrities featured in the "Fame" series include Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Nick Jonas.
As stated on Bluewater Productions website:
The "Fame" series was launched earlier in 2010 as a companion piece to the successful "Female Force" and "Political Power" biography titles. The comic allows Bluewater to delve into the celebrity culture and understand how a person rises to fame, deals with the newfound celebrity status and continue to produce in the public eye.
The Nicki Minaj comic is available at Comic Flea Market for $3.99 with either a Standard or Superhero cover option. For the more tech-saavy readers, digital copies are also available on iTunes, Barnes and Noble, Amazon, Kobo, ComoXology, and Google Books for $1.99.
