Snoop Dogg Reality Show, Rapper to Direct Football Reality Series Surrounding His League

Snoop Dogg has signed on for a new reality show! The rapper will direct and star in a football series surrounding his youth league. This past Monday, the hip-hop veteran made an appearance at the AOL’s Future Fronts conference and he announced that his Snoopadelic Films company will be teaming up with AOL to produce the reality series.

The show will be based around the players and coaches that are part of his Snoop Youth Football League, which was created back in 2005.

He spoke more on the upcoming series with audience members, sharing why this show is meaningful to him and his organization, "The kids I get to mentor through SYFL means more to me than anything else I do,” he said. “We got kids in the league from all over and the spirit I see from them and their love of the game and life, it moves me. The SYFL is more than just football. It's about the kids, their families and the life coaching the SYFL provides to the entire community. I want the world to see their stories, talent and commitment, and now they will through our new series,” he shared at the conference.

The show is set to feature at least eight episodes in the first season and will be dropping sometime later this year, with no official date determined. This is actually the second time around that Snoop Dogg is attempting to profile his football league. Lawsuits tore the first project down back in 2007. The organization has been working and sending multiple players to the NFL since its launch.

If you recall, this will be the rapper’s second time dealing with reality television, as him and his family were featured on their very own reality series with E! called Fatherhood. His son, Cordell Broadus, got recruited for to play for UCLA, but has since quit the sport to pursue a different career field.
