Top 6 Celebrity Commercial Cameos of 2015 [POLL]
Here's the next category of the MT Buzz Awards! MStars News is taking a closer look at the Best Celebrity Commercial Cameo of 2015. Be sure to vote in our poll below, and tell us who you think should win the title!
Let's take a look at our nominees for the #MTBuzzys:
BRYAN CRANSTON FOR ESURANCE
Seeing Bryan Cranston on Breaking Bad as Walter White was perhaps one of the best things we've seen on television – ever. At least, that's what we thought until we saw him as Walter White in a Super Bowl 2015 ad for Esurance.
The win goes to Esurance. Sorry, Vince Gilligan.
KIM KARDASHIAN FOR T-MOBILE
Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kim Kardashian decided to put her fame to good use (sort of) when she partnered with T-Mobile. Her cameo in the above commercial expressed the "tragic" truth that "millions of gigs of unused data" are being taken back by wireless companies. With that data, fans could have brightened up their days by taking in the glorious images and videos of Kardashian standing on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and, well, probably some porn sites.
Whomp, whomp, whomp...
KATE UPRON FOR GAME OF WAR
Model Kate Upton teamed up with the oh-so-popular Game of War video game series for a run of commercials which show off her love for the game. Or it was just a chance for the gaming company to boost some sales by having one of the sexiest women in the world attached to their product.
Thoughts?
MATT DAMON & MINDY KALING FOR NATIONWIDE
The Super Bowl LOVES celeb cameos, which is exactly why Nationwide asked both Matt Damon and Mindy Kaling to be a part of their commercial for this past year's big game. Unfortunately Kaling wasn't able to fulfill her fantasy at the end of the ad by kissing The Martian star, but she was able to, at the very least, touch his shoulder.
Has she washed her hand since? Well, probably not.
Can y'blame her?
NICK OFFERMAN FOR NASCAR
Anything Nick Offerman does is wonderful, and this NASCAR commercial is no different. Calling out the denizens of these United States for going soft with both texting and going gluten-free, the former Parks and Recreation star attempts to bring back the "manly" America of yesterday by partnering with NASCAR.
Of course, we doubt the company was able to convince new people to actually watch NASCAR, but they were able to get us to enjoy a NASCAR commercial... for once.
ROB LOWE FOR DIRECTV
These commercials need no introduction. Rob Lowe's partnering with DirecTV was perhaps one of the best decisions the company has ever made. Even better than decreasing the size of those abhorrent satellite dishes placed atop the homes of suburban USA. While the ads are no longer running, it's safe to say that it was a win for we viewers.
So, folks, who should take home the Buzzy for Best Celebrity Commercial Cameo? Vote in the poll below!
