‘SNL’ Kate McKinnon Slams Hillary Clinton Gay Marriage Views During Cameo on Premiere?
Everyone went crazy for Hillary Clinton's surprise appearance on last night's Season 41 premiere of Saturday Night Live with host and musical guest Miley Cyrus. Clinton played a bartender waiting on player Kate McKinnon's version of the Democratic hopeful. And when the two got to talking about gay marriage, it looks like Clinton might have gotten a little burned by McKinnon.
Maybe.
Was it in the script? Of course – at least, we're guessing most of it was.
"It really is great how long you've supported gay marriage," said Val – Clinton's bartender character. To which McKinnon replied, "Yes. I could have supported it sooner."
Clinton's response was that she did it "pretty soon," which caused McKinnon to add a hilarious, "Could have been sooner."
Which naturally got a little cackle form the audience.
"Fair point," the real Clinton said.
So, folks, what do you think: Did Clinton know the "Could have been sooner," was coming? Or was she subtly slammed by McKinnon?
In the end, whatever happened, she was cool with it and succeeded in showing the citizens of America her lighter side.
Check out the clip above and be sure to watch out for Clinton's impression of Donald Trump. It's pretty great – and not the first time she's mocked the Republican frontrunner. Lest we forget her recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in which she equated Trump's hair to a soft serve ice cream swirl.
