Earlier this month, Ubisoft shared a teaser video featuring cave drawings, which had the gaming community making guesses as to what it could all mean. Well, we just found out that a brand new Far Cry title has been announced! Far Cry Primal is taking gamers to prehistoric times to hunt Mammoths, fight warring tribes and fashioning tools and weapons out of whatever you can find. This isn't Far Cry 5, but the gameplay in the announce trailer has us excited for the Feb. 2016 release date! Find out more details below.

According to Gamma Squad, this new title "is set around 10,000 BC, and you play as Takkar," who, according to Ubisoft, happens to be the "last survivor of your hunting group, you will learn to craft a deadly arsenal, fend off fierce predators, and outsmart enemy tribes to conquer the land of Oros and become the Apex Predator."

Basically, this new title is what Far Cry Blood Dragon was between 3 and 4 - a placeholder game that will definitely provide fun gameplay without too much story. This means Far Cry 5 is most likely in development and could come out in the next two years.
