'Star Wars' Actress Carrie Fisher Asked to Board Spaceship as Princess Leia Again for New Movie, After Recent Rumors of Being a Mess on a Cruise Ship
Carrie Fisher and Mark Hami, aka Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars movie, have been recently asked by George Lucas to return to their roles for the new "Star Wars Episode VII." Harrison Ford has already said he's interested in being recasted as Han Solo, but right now is flying solo, as his other former castmates invitations are still pending, TV Guide reports.
Hamill told ET he'd prefer that the new trilogy revisit the "carefree and lighthearted and humorous" tone of the original, and that he wouldn't commit to the project unless more of the original castmates revive their characters as well.
Would it be a good move for Carrie Fisher to hop on board when she has recently been spotted overboard swimming with all of her clothes still on in Half Moon Bay while cruising on the Holland America Eurodam ship? An inside source who was also aboard the ship made this claim. Dan Avery of Queerty also says that the same inside source revealed that the actress was "incoherent" when it came time for her to perform on the ship and that Fisher's dog also joined her on stage and "left some gifts" for the cruise passengers.
On the site Cruise Critic, passengers stated that when they got up to leave the awkward performance, "The star jumped from the stage and ran down the aisle to stop them."
Fisher has also recently admitted that drugs are "an ongoing thing to battle" to the Palm Beach Daily News, although she was not speaking specifically about the cruise ship incident.
Hamil tells Entertainment Tonight, "It's all very, very exciting and so unexpected," regarding the possbility of reuniting with his Star Wars cast. "It's like getting a pair of pants out of the closet you haven't worn in three years and finding a $20 bill in the pocket. It's just so unexpected."
Yes Hamil, it's all very exciting, but maybe Fisher should think twice about jumping aboard the spaceship to Star Wars Episode VII..the unexpected can be scary for the unstable...
