Fox's 'Lucifer' Spoilers: Twitter Reacts Tom Ellis, Lauren German Pilot Premiere At 2015 NYCC!

Not only was Supergirl given a private premiere screening, Fox aired the pilot of its upcoming supernatural series, Lucifer. During the 2015 New York Comic Con, Twitter had lots to say about Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar and Lauren German as Detective Chloe Dancer.

As we previously mentioned, Fox has given a put pilot commitment to Lucifer, from Californication creator and executive producer Tom Kapinos. Based on the comic book character created by Neil Gaiman, from The Sandman comic book series, the prince of darkness will be the lead and the show will focus on his life in Los Angeles. Lucifer resigns from the kingdom of hell after becoming bored and unhappy.

According to Deadline, the former owner of Hell gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals. With Wales-born brunette Ellis (Rush) , Lucifer is taking a darker turn as the original comic book character was modeled after music icon, David Bowie. the pilot was written by Kapinos and directed by Len Wiseman (Sleepy Hollow).

In his discussion with Interview, Ellis reveals, " I think the people that take the show in the spirit it's meant to be received will get the most out of it. Anyone that's predicting it's going to be something before even seeing it is a bit foolish, in my view. The show certainly is not a big theological debate. More than anything, I'd say this show is a story of redemption. Obviously one of our main source materials was the graphic novel that it was based on."
