What do you get when you unite two of the best-known and most invincible superheroes of all time? "Batman/Superman": an unbelievably forceful, crime-fighting team created by DC Entertainment ready to take on the the world, or in this case a "relaunched universe" called "New 52."

DC Entertainment announced today that they will create this ultimate new comic series, with more complex storylines than ususal, by joining these two unstoppable heros in it's new mighty comic: "Batman/Superman."

According to AP, This upcoming ongoing comic series, written by longtime Marvel writer Greg Pak & illustrated by Jae Lee, will focus on two of the publisher's "best-known and revered" heroes who both joined DC in the late 1930's: Superman & Batman.

Making it's heroic debut in June, the comics will center around how the two iconic heroes first met and how they come together as a team to fight evil in the publisher's "wider New 52 universe," reported by Christian Post. Pak has also implied that there would be an "element of danger" about what he brings out in the new series, and he believes this will make it extremely exciting and enjoyable for readers.

DC, owned by Time Warner Inc., is giving he and Lee "some real leeway to do some really important storytelling" in the series that will give readers the opportunity to "delve deep into the characters, their interactions and the effects on the 'relaunched universe'."

The writer also reveals that the characters are going to have "very different immediate impressions of each other than we're used to seeing,"

Illustrator Lee mentions that there will be some "cool new stuff and when you put these two characters together, they've got different palettes and environments."

Make sure to keep an eye out for the supreme crime fighting team, Superman & Batman, this summer!
