'Teen Mom' Amber Portwood Custody Battle With Ex Gary After Putting Prison Past Behind Her!
Another day, another custody battle for a Teen Mom star. This time it's Amber Portwood who has decided to file for full custody against ex Gary Shirley for guardianship of their daughter Leah. However, the reality dad is laughing off reports that his MTV baby mama would even get full custody after giving up her rights when she went to prison in the midst of a drug addiction.
"She's hired a lawyer to fight for full custody," a source told Life & Style, via OK! Magazine. "She feels she's gotten her life together and deserves a real relationship with Leah."
While the reality mom is taking this seriously, her baby daddy isn't so much. "Gary laughed hysterically when he heard that Amber wants to take him to court," the source said. "He said after all the crap Amber's done, no judge will give her custody."
"Gary doesn't think Amber would do a better job taking care of Leah," the source continued.
In July, the gossip mag echoed these sentiments when discussing the ongoing custody fight between the former MTV couple.
"He's not giving Leah up, not even partial custody," according to Life & Style, even though a friend of Amber's said she "has worked so hard to get her life together. She's on the right track."
It seems that the Indiana mom has found the right balance in her life with fiancé Matt Baier. The happy couple finally announced a wedding date for their long awaited nuptials.
"Can't wait to marry this man in October 2016..love taking pictures of Leah and Matt together," Amber captioned a photo on Instagram.
We, of course, can't wait for all the drama when Teen Mom OG returns for another season of the hit reality series!
Do you think Amber should finally get full custody of Leah or should she stay with Gary?
