Latin music rock band Santana might enthral fans with a reunion of its original line-up. This was revealed by none other than former Santana guitarist and Journey band member, Neal Schon.

Schon revealed that he will be working with musician and band leader Carlos Santana. It will be a reunion of the original Santana line-up.

All the surviving members of the band have confirmed their participation in the next Santana gig, reported Vintage Vinyl News. David Brown, founding bassist died in 2000.

"As well as Neal we have the two Mikes, Mike Carabello and Michael Shrieve. I am pretty sure Greg [Rolie]'s going to do it. So that is pretty much everyones," said Carlos Santana.

Percussionist Jose "Chepito" Areas may not be part of the reunion, as his name was not mentioned by Carlos Santana. He was with Santana till 1980.

They had worked on their 1971 album "Santana III."

Carabello and Brown left the band after the album was out. While Schon left the band after "Caravanseri."

The musicians might not have any problem picking up from where they last left and Carlos Santana too believes the same, "It will be like Santana IV because we stopped at Santana III," he added.

Santana's new album will be out in 2014 and might have an African feel to it.
