Ace Frehley Home in Foreclosure: KISS Guitarist Hasn't Paid Mortgage in Two Years, Owes $20,000 in Back Taxes, 'Spaceman' Could Use Gene Simmons' Help

Former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley may be in some trouble after it's being reported by the Journal News he has missed two years of mortgage payments on his Westchester home. The 61-year-old Frehley had his New York home foreclosed on. Where is Gene Simmons when you need him?

According to The Journal News, Frehley owes more than $700,000 on his $735,000 three bedroom, three bathroom home. The rocker purchased the 2,441 square foot property in 2006. If the foreclosure isn't bad enough. Frehley also owes almost $20,000 in back taxes.

So how did the man who used to be known as "Spaceman" fall on such hard times? Well he has been out of KISS since 2002 when he left the band after their "farewell tour." Frehley reportedly has been playing recently at a Rock n' Roll Fantasy Camp in Las Vegas. Something tells me that his new gig doesn't pay as well as his old gig.

Like most major rockers from the 80's Frehley had a drug and alcohol problem, but said as far back as 2009 that he had given up drugs and alcohol. Frehley's most recent album was called "Anomaly" and its September release marked three years since he had stopped drinking. Frehley also released an autobiography titled "No Regrets" in 2011.

One person who Frehley could always go to for money is fellow KISS rocker Gene Simmons. The controversial bassist, according to Forbes, is worth $300 million. Frehley had reportedly told listeners on SiriusXM that Simmons had contacted him about being in a KISS reality show. No word on whether or not this was ever true, but I'm sure Frehley would be real interested in the project now.

How does this announcement make KISS fans feel? Do you lose any respect for a celebrity when you find out they either lost all the money they earned or didn't spend it wisely? Hopefully Frehley can bounce back, and who knows, maybe we will be seeing a KISS reality show on VH1 real soon.
