5. The Anticipation Is Killing Me!
As we mentioned before, on Monday night (September 28), Fox aired a two-part trailer for their sci-fi procedural/drama. Part 1 was released during the second episode of Season 2's Gotham (at 8pm), as Part 2 followed during freshmen drama, Minority Report (at 9pm). Just days after the cast and crew made their way to New York Comic Con, Fox premiered a new animated promo during episode four of Gotham.
4. The Animation Is Awesome!
Whoever did the retro animation deserves an award or something! Notice how the footage makes great use of its white, blue, and red color scheme. The only time the scheme changes its tone is when the black ooze makes its appearance. Even the theme by Mark Snow gets an killer update.
3. Get Him, Scully!
In the previous official trailer, we saw Scully sitting beside by a hospital bed but we don't know who's lying there. It was definitely a sad sight to see of our popular heroine. But I guess that's only going to happen in one episode because Dana is kicking butt here! That's right! You do not mess with the red-head when she has her gun pointed straight at you!
2. Is That The Flukeman?!?
In The Host, Mulder traveled deep into the New Jersey sewer to discover a murderous genetic freak. In the dirty and smelly sewer waters, Muler had a one-on-one confrontation with the monster known as The Flukeman. Thank goodness that lever was there to chop the hideous creature in half. Will The Flukeman return in the upcoming 6 episodes?
1. Is That Cancer Man?
He's Back! Cigarette-Smoking Man is back! We actually see him smoking a cigarette this time and poof! The "I Want To Believe" poster shows up! When he says in his deep, raspy voice, "They've re-opened the X-Files..." doesn't that line bring in all the feels?
The X-Files returns with a special two-night event beginning Sunday, January 24, 2016, following the NFC Championship Game. The event continues Monday, January 25, 2016 (8pm).
