Industrial rock band, Nine Inch Nails, who had taken a hiatus in 2009 to "disappear for a while" will be back, performing with a new line-up and a will also tour this year.

The Cleveland band's vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Trent Reznor issued a statement where he said the band will be "re-inventing itself" after Reznor's discussions with band member and guitarist Adrian Belew.

"I was working with Adrian Belew on some musical ideas, which led to some discussion on performing, which led to some beard-scratching, which (many steps later) led to the decision to re-think the idea of what Nine Inch Nails could be, and the idea of playing a show. Calls were made to some friends, lots of new ideas were discussed, and a show was booked -- which led to another, which somehow led to a lot of shows," Reznor said in a statement.

The Los Angeles Times report says that this line-up announced by Reznor "seems like a winner" for the band.

"The band is reinventing itself from scratch and will be comprised of Eric Avery, Adrian Belew, Alessandro Cortini, Josh Eustis, Ilan Rubin, and me," Reznor added.

Reznor promises "full arena tour" that will start from 2013 fall, extending to 2014. He has not yet announced any dates or tour locations.

"The first shows will begin this summer, followed by a full-on arena tour of the US this fall, and lots of other dates worldwide to follow through 2014."

"Lots of details and dates to come. See you soon," Reznor promises.

Reznor, however, has his own "How to Destroy Angels" Project with his wife and singer Mariqueen Maandig, composer Atticus Ross and designer Rob Sheridan. Their full length debut album, "Welcome Oblivion" will be released March 5.  They will make their live debut at April's Coachella Music Festival, said The Los Angeles Times.
