Ang Lee In-N-Out Celebration: Oscar 'Life of Pi' Best Director Winner Caught on Camera Eating Fast Food after 85th Annual Academy Awards
How do you not love Best Director winner Ang Lee after seeing a photo of him chowing down on an In-N-Out burger? With his Oscar in one hand and a burger in the other, "Life of Pi" director celebrated Sunday night by eating a good ole fashioned burger.
While some celebrities glammed it up at post Oscar parties, Lee was at In-N-Out getting himself a late night meal. The acclaimed director was still wearing his tuxedo when he was spotted on the streets of Hollywood eating and celebrating.
According to Lee, the entire process after winning an Oscar seems to be a bit overwhelming and tiring. Lee told the Wall Street Journal's Speakeasy, "I'm a little tired," Lee said. "Holding this and taking photos for hours. The whole place seems to be very happy when I win. And they stood up and there were cheers. So that was very touching, you know?"
Despite being tired, the In-N-Out burger must of re-energized Lee, because he reportedly went to a nightclub around 1am for another Oscars after party.
There were certainly a lot of celebrities celebrating Sunday night, but Lee may of deserved to celebrate more than any of them. Lee was nominated for 11 Oscars and ended up winning four of them for Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Original Score, and Best Visual Effects.
Lee's Best Director win drew a standing ovation as Lee thanked everyone who worked on his films.
"Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you, movie god. I really need to share this with all 3,000. Everybody who worked with me on Life of Pi. I want to thank you for ... I really want to thank you for believing in this story and share this incredible journey with me."
Lee's speech was very well received across the world. A government official in Taiwan praised Lee for his Oscar victory and Lee reportedly is going to receive an honorary citizen's medal from Taichung, the Taiwanese city where Lee shot the ocean scenes for "Life of Pi."
Congratulations to Ang Lee on his Oscar victories as well as his In-N-Out burger.
