Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge marked 20 years of its release on Monday. Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol celebrated the day with great enthusiasm, as the movie is a milestone in their careers. To celebrate the day, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan recreated a scene from DDLJ with Kajol to thank the fans for their support.

On DDLJ's 20th anniversary, SRK and Kajol recreated a small scene from the film and thanked their fans from all around the world for their overwhelming love and support they have received in the past 20 years. The three-minute video again proves that Shah Rukh and Kajol share the best onscreen chemistry in Bollywood.

It was back in 1995 when Yash Chopra's son Aditya Chopra's first film, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, was released in theaters. Neither the fans nor the stars who were associated with the romantic film ever thought that DDLJ will become arguably the most celebrated Hindi film of the century.

DDLJ had the fresh chemistry between an unconventional leading lady like Kajol and chocolate boy Shah Rukh Khan. According to FirstPost, what gave DDLJ its cult status was maybe the drama Aditya Chopra wove with the characters.

The film also also toured the U.S. in 2004 as part of the Cinema India showcase, "The Changing Face of Indian Cinema." According to Salon, Charles Taylor reviewed the film as flawed, aggressive and tender. Taylor said, "[DDLJ] is clichéd and fresh, sophisticated and naive, traditional and modern. It's also, I think, a classic."

SRK even gratified his fans from around the world by taking to Twitter and posting a picture where he can be seen lifting Kajol in his arms, similar to what he did in DDLJ.

Shah Rukh Khan, 49, has worked with Kajol, 41, in celebrated films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. The couple last shared screen space in 2012s My Name is Khan. After almost five years, Bollywood's most loved stars are going to star in Rohit Shetty's upcoming romantic comedy film, Dilwale, which is set to release two months after 20th anniversary of DDLJ.

Indian Express also reported that in Dilwale, Shah Rukh and Kajol will recreate DDLJ's famous train sequence. The film will also star Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.
