Back by popular demand, Fox revives their iconic sci-fi/horror series. In the revival of The X-Files, will paranormal investigators Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) "greedy" for the truth, alongside Tad O'Malley (Joel McHale)?

As we previously mentioned,13 years have passed since FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully were on the TV screen solving weird and supernatural cases. The reboot of Fox's popular sci-fi series continues with an all-new 6 episode arc. Not only are the leads back to reprise their iconic roles, creator Chris Carter will takeover as showrunner for the franchise that launched his and many other careers.

As we mentioned before, the Community actor has signed on for a guest starring stint. McHale will play Tad O'Malley, the anchor of a popular conservative Internet news network. During the course of the episode, O'Malley will become an unlikely ally for Fox Mulder.

In an interview with TV Line, though McHale jokingly denies a hookup between his character and Scully, he does dish on what's to come between O'Malley and Mulder, "Yes, he is a conservative talk-show host and news host, and he believes everything that Mulder believes. They just come at it from a different direction. He has made a lot of money from talking about this stuff, as opposed to Mulder, who's been ruined more than once."

The Soup actor adds, "It was so fun to be in it. I just love the show so much, the fact that I'm a part of it - the fact that I know Chris Carter! - I can't believe it. I'm thrilled."
