Rachel McAdams Split from Michael Sheen: 'The Notebook' Actress Breaks it Off With 'Midnight in Paris' Co-Star
More Hollywood breakup news! "Mean Girls" and "The Notebook" star Rachel McAdams has reportedly split with British actor Michael Sheen after two years of dating. According to Us Weekly, the "Midnight in Paris" co-stars have ended their romance. This just hours after fans learned of Jason Segel and Michelle Williams' rumored split.
McAdams, 33, and Sheen, 44, first met on set of "Midnight in Paris." According to reports, the two were able to hold off on romance while on the set of the movie, but rumors began to swirl that they were more than just co-stars in the fall of 2010. In a 2012 interview with The Sunday Telegraph's Stella magazine, McAdams explained that she feels strongly about not becoming romantically involved while on set.
"Michael and I didn't get together while we were filming 'Midnight in Paris,' which I feel strongly about not doing when I'm working," said McAdams. "We became quite good friends, which I think is a great way to start."
However, Sheen isn't the first co-star McAdams has dated. She very famously dated her "The Notebook" co-star Ryan Gosling between 2005 and 2007. Before meeting McAdams, Sheen had dated British actress Kate Beckinsale for eight years. The two have a 14-year-old daughter.
McAdams may be single now, but her professional career has not slowed down. McAdams will be acting alongside Oscar winner Ben Affleck in the drama "To the Wonder" this spring. Sheen, meanwhile, will be in the comedy "Admission" starring Tina Fey and Paul Rudd, due out in theaters March 22.
So who do you think McAdams will be dating next? She has a history of dating co-stars, so maybe it will all depend on what movie she will be filming next. McAdams should have no problem finding a new guy to date. Besides being one of Hollywood's hottest actresses, she also seems to attract a lot of interest from her fellow actors. Is Ryan Gosling single again?
