Rio Grande Valley Vipers Glen Rice Jr Shot & Arrested Outside Of T.I.'s Atlanta Restaurant!

Former NBA player, Glen Rice Jr and son of basketball legend, Glen Ray Sr, is in a heap of trouble again! The reckless baller was shot in the leg outside of rapper, T.I.'s popular eatery, Scales 925 on Sunday night in Atlanta. Reportedly, an employee asked a group of men who were arguing to leave the restaurant when shots rang out.

What happened next is shocking to say the least! Police report says that Rice was seen on surveillance footage throwing a Smith & Wesson revolver into a stairwell before he jumped into a Porsche driven by Steven Pryor, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Subsequently, police pulled over the vehicle and noticed Rices' gunshot womb to the leg. They searched the car and found 240 grams of marijuana and $6,000 in cash. When police retrieved the weapon and ran the serial number, it came back as possibly being stolen in Tennessee. The failed basketball player was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and reckless conduct.

Perhaps he didn't learn from his previous experience in 2012 when both he and Pryor were charged in connection to a shooting at Halo Lounge, which resulted in the athlete getting kicked off of the Georgia Tech football team. "Everybody makes mistakes," Sports Illustrated reported Rice had told NBA.com in 2013. "I made mine. The most important thing was to own it, accept it and try to learn from it, which I have. I'm ready to move forward. Whoever said, 'What doesn't kill you makes you stronger' knew what they were talking about. I feel like that's what's happened to me."

Thanks to his superstar basketball pop, he played in the NBA Developmental League and was acquired in a draft trade in 2013 by the Washingotn Wizards. No pun intended but the Wizards just dodged a bullet in January, when they released the 24 year old! No word if gun charges will be added, as this is an on-going investigation.
