Kim Zolciak Has Heart Surgery Following Mini Stroke [PHOTOS]
MStars News is glad to see Kim Zolciak all smiles after undergoing a heart surgery following her mini stroke. According to ABC News, Zolciak updated all of her fans via Instagram that her surgery was a "success."
In the snapshot above, Zolciak was welcomed by one of her three sons, KJ, who appeared to be very happy to see his mother awake after her operation. In the next post, Kim wrote, "My [heart emoji] surgery was a success!! I can't wait to be back on my feet 100%! Glad it's over! Quite the whirlwind this last month has been...but such a blessing too"
The news site claims that the Don't Be Tardy star also thanked her other children, and her husband Atlanta Falcons star, Kroy Biermann, for their love and support.
MStars News previously reported that the mother of six was rushed to an Atlanta, Georgia, hospital after her left side of her body went numb. At that time Zolciak revealed that she suffered from a "minor TIA [transient ischemic attack]." The attack showed that she had a "PFO [patent foramen ovale], a hole in my heart that never closed."
Her stroke put an end to her season on Dancing With the Stars, along with her dance partner, Tony Dovolani, because she was unable to travel for competitions that was held in Los Angeles.
DWTS host Tom Bergeron had to deliver her with the bad news stating that the rules say: "In the instance of illness or other health related matters affecting a participant's ability to participate in the game, they must withdraw.'"
Beside withdrawing from the show, the Bravo TV reality show diva also found herself defending her illness after there were rumors swirling that she faked her stroke, or that it was caused by her waist trainer.
"I have heard all sorts of ppl commenting on 'what might have caused my mini stroke,' let me be real clear, I am a very healthy woman who takes great care of myself, however I was born with PFO (a hole in my heart) which enabled a clot to cross over and stop oxygen to my brain for a very short time in turn causing me to have a TIA, I will be having heart surgery to repair it," she wrote in the Instagram snapshot below.
"By no means did my waist trainer cause my blood clot or my TIA. I would never use anything nor promote anything that I personally didn't love or something that was dangerous. I LOVE LIFE WAY TOO MUCH! and I have a whole lotta living to do."
MStars News hopes Kim Zolciak gets well soon.
