President Obama Slams Republicans for CNBC Debate Moderators Complaint

During last week's GOP debate on CNBC, several presidential hopefuls found themselves irked at the moderators, claiming that the questions directed at them were biased. On Monday night, President Barack Obama appeared at a fundraiser in New York and mocked his Republican rivals who hope to replace him come 2016 for their inability to handle the network.

The President explained that those on the right constantly label him as "weak" and believe that once they take to the White House the way we, as a country, are perceived will change heavily.

"Have you noticed that every one of these candidates say, 'Obama's weak. Putin's kicking sand in his face. When I talk to Putin, he's going to straighten out,'" Obama started with. He then mocked the Republicans for not being able to take CNBC and their "gotcha" questions, thus doubting their capabilities to take on Russia and China.

"Let me tell you, if you can't handle those guys ... I don't think the Chinese and Russians are going to be too worried about you."

Obama's comments come after it was reported that the GOP is attempting to suspend their ties with NBC, which would put a hold on the debate planned for Feb. 26 of 2016. The announcement came via the Republican National Committee's site.

On the GOP's site, the complaints were detailed as such:

"While debates are meant to include tough questions and contrast candidates' visions and policies for the future of America, CNBC's moderators engaged in a series of 'gotcha' questions, petty and mean-spirited in tone, and designed to embarrass our candidates."
