National Candy Day 2015: Top 5 Worst Foods for Your Sweet Tooth
Today is National Candy Day 2015. And while there are so many wonderfully delicious candies that we can talk about – given that Halloween just happened and we're still gorging on them chocolates – let's instead focus on the ones that are, well, embarrassing to even call candy.
You know the ones; they're the kinds that make your sweet tooth a little ... sour.
GOOD 'N PLENTY
Honestly, we've never seen anyone stop at a local bodega, Duane Reade or CVS and ask the cashier, "Excuse me, but do you have any Good 'N Plenty?" Do you know why we've never seen that? Because Good 'N Plenty candies are terrible.
RUNTS
Honestly, what are these? Sadly we're not too sure of the answer, but we do know that you can purchase a 5-lb pack of this horribly vile candy over on Amazon for under $20. Which is great if you're looking to trip someone chasing you in the street. But if you're looking to eat them, well, we pray for you.
DOTS
Yes, apparently these are something other than a synonym for the period punctuation. Surely you've seen them; they're usually at your local market—and they're never sold out.
COW TALES
Caramel and cream sound appealing but when you're eating it like you would a Slim Jim, it's just unappetizing.
MIKE AND IKES
Never had 'em, but again, we've never heard anyone ask for a box, or bag, of Mike and Ikes. Just a thought.
