'SWV Reunited' Canceled! WE TV Plugs the Plug on Coko, Lelee and Taj [DETAILS]
Say it isn't so! We know that every show must come to an end at some point in time, but some endings are sadder than others. MStars News has learned that WE TV has pulled the plug on SWV Reunited and canceled the show. That's right! Fans of Tamara "Taj" Johnson-George, Cheryl "Coko" Clemons and Leanne "Lelee" Lyons will no longer get to watch the girl's drama on TV, but at least we can still keep up with the trio on their social media accounts.
The news was announced by Coko via Instagram where she wrote: "To our loving fans! We have received your tweets, Facebook posts, and Instagram replies inquiring about the return of SWV: Reunited. After months of waiting in limbo with minimal communication with the network it is with regret that we officially announce the cancellation of SWV:Reunited on WeTV."
The singer continued by thanking the group's fans for their love and support and for watching the show. She added, "We want to thank each and every one of you who supported our show and continue to support the SWV brand. Your love and support has carried our dream of creating quality music for over 23 years."
Coko hinted that this wasn't the end to the trio's music she revealed that new music was coming next year. "This is not the end by any means! SWV has a new single out now, "Ain't No Man," with a second single on the way entitled "MCE (Man Crush Everyday)," followed by an incredible new album Still...SWV due 2/15/16. Stay tuned because the best is yet to come! Still, Coko, Lelee, & Taj."
Fans were devastated by the news and posted to the singer's Instagram leaving comments like the one from mstoya907 that read "I'm so disappointed in this news. I loved the show!"
MStars News is going to miss the show too (especially the funny and hilarious things Lelee use to say or when Taj had ups and downs with her voice). The ladies surely did bring drama for their viewers. A lot of past things were brought up and secrets of the singers that were in the closet were revealed to fans all of the time.
One special moment that was shared on the WE TV show was Taj's vow renewal at her beautiful wedding with her husband, Eddie George.
We also followed Lelee after she had a pregnancy scare. Thank goodness she wasn't expecting a child in her 40s! Oh! and who will ever forget the drama the girls had with their manager, Corey?
