Superstar K Contestant Kim Hyun Ji Committed Suicide; Confessed of Being Abused by Her Father

Former Superstar K Contestant Kim Hyun Ji, found dead on Tuesday with two other deceased males in South Korea's Jeolla Province in what local police have confirmed a group suicide. The vocalist admitted in 2008 that she and her mother both had been physically abused by her father when she was growing up and it headed towards a troubled adolescence.

According to Koreaboo, Hyun Ji's body along with two males who were identified as Mr. Ko and Mr. Lee in the local reports, was allegedly discovered, along with burnt charcoal in a white minivan in front of a Buddhist Temple. The minivan was a rented a car and when the owner of the company filed a complaint of it's missing, the officers used the minivan's GPS system to locate the car.

Another Korean Entertainment News outlet, All Kpop reported that after the proper investigation they found no evidence of foul play.

"After investigating into the unnatural deaths of the three people, including Kim Hyun Ji, we were unable to discover evidence that could indicate homicide or circumstances that would lead us to suspect homicide."

According to Soompi, the 31-years-old vocalist, who was best known for her appearance in the Korean TV talent show, Superstar K in 2009, and another reality singing competition Voice of Korea in 2014, vividly recalled one incident when she was only 12 years old that totally shed light about her father's abusive nature.

"My vision went red the moment I saw my father hitting my mother, who was trying to stop him from beating me," Kim wrote. "I hit him."

In later years, Hyun Ji tried to reconcile with her father via text message in which she asked him why he had her if he always wanted to treat him like that. In response to that, her father texted back:

"I'll always love my little girl."
