USA Network's 'Donny!' Ep 1 Recap Donny Deutsch/Emily Tarver "A Sext Ruined My Life" Premiere

USA Network airs the season premiere of their new comedy, Donny!  In Episode 1, A Sext Ruined My Life!, creator and star Donny Deutsch (Donny himself) needs help from his producer Pam (Emily Tarver) to juggle being a father and a talk show host.

On his talk show, Donny tries to console and take advantage of the psycho sexter as she recounts her epic fail. The audience watches all the leaked snapshots on the big screen that  she took on her cell. The ratings skyrocket as the psycho sexter starts dropping f-bombes.  

After he gives his the psycho sexter his number, Pam and Donny start talking about ideas for the next idea. As Pam shoots down his lesbian ideas, Donny wonders what if he had some kind of disease. In the car, Donny has picked up his kids, Coco Deutsch (Fiona Robert) and Jagger (Jacob Thomas Anderson). Donny has a difficult time connecting with his kids. 

Zoe (Meera Kumbhani), Jackie (Hailey Giles), and Violet (Jessica Renee Russell), the three assistants, get a call from Donny. Violet, the new one, is learning the ropes of what it means to be working for Donny, who doesn't know how to use social media or use his cell. They have to keep the psycho sexter away from Donny as she keeps messaging him. 

As the three assistants start making plans, Donny dreams of making his own commercial. Donny's mistress shows up at his home, which causes the kids to run. The two end up role-playing their sex fantasies in the middle of the kitchen. Donny has to stop when his three assistants catch him pretending to be Putin. 

Donny gets into a call from Coco's teacher and discovers his daughter got into a fight at school. Coco then tells him that she started a fight with the bullies, who were picking on her brother. Proud of his daughter for sticking up for her brother, Donny promises to patch things up at school, but in order to do that, he has to sleep with her teacher.

During the parent/teacher meeting, Donny accidentally sen his sext to Ms. Ecklestein (Brette Goldstein). He tries to convince Ms. Ecklestein that he actually meant to send her the text. After promising to have an affair with her, Ms. Ecklestein just rolls her eyes, thinking he's actually such a jerk.  

Live on television, Donny makes a fool of himself with the text. Just as the reporters start to tear him down on MSNBC, Donny thinks fast and attempts to salvage the situation with a charitable donation. Watching on television, Pam grabs her cell and makes a call to a charity organization to save her boss.

Donny's idea starts trending and going viral with selfies from other celebrities.
