'The Americans' Season 4 Spoilers: Did Keri Russell, Matthew Rhys Set March Premiere Date?
The Season 3 finale of The Americans gained much critical praise for FX. With Season 4 of The Americans already underway, do Elizabeth Jennings (Keri Russell) and Philip Jennings (Matthew Rhys) have an official March 2016 premiere date?
In our finale recap, Philip had to kill and frame one of Martha's co-workers to make the FBI look away from her. After getting the fake defector arrested, Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich) was given the go-ahead to continue his investigation against Oleg (Costa Ronin), but he is nowhere closer to saving Nina (Annet Mahendru). Elizabeth had a chance to say goodbye to her dying mother.
Before the end credits, Philip was unable to tell his wife that he wanted to leave the spy business. Elizabeth was filled with hatred towards President Reagan as he declared the Soviet Union an "evil empire." Confused and desperate for someone's help, the teary-eyed Paige called Pastor Tim and confessed her parents aren't Americans; they're Russians.
According to TV Line, FX will launch a new set of freshmen drama, which includes Baskets and American Crime Story: The People Vs. O.J. Simpson.
The site states, "it will hold off the Season 4 premiere of The Americans until March - which will mark the Russian spy drama's latest premiere thus far. FX said the Keri Russell-Mathew Rhys vehicle's exact launch date has yet to be determined."
As we previously mentioned, Martindale took home the Emmy award for Outstanding Guest Actress In A Drama Series. Martindale dished on what's to come, "Next year I don't know yet what I'm doing (on The Americans) but I do know I'm there for more than this last year....They promised me they'd never kill me. But it's show business. I hope they can keep their promise."
We await confirmation for when The Americans has an official premiere date.
