Adele, Beyonce Beef: Singer Squashes Rumor Claiming She Turned Down 'Queen Bey'
Rumor has it that Adele and Beyonce have beef, but if you ask the British singer, she's squashed the chatter that claims she turned down "Queen Bey" in a music collaboration.
According to Billboard, Adele said, "There's a rumor going round that I turned Beyonce down which I would never be so disrespectful as to do. I'd never disrespect her like that. Obviously, like, Queen Bey 'til the day I die."
Adele's comments were made when she spoke to Zane Lowe of the Beats 1 radio show. Adele was promoting her new album, 25.
Despite the alleged drama between the divas, Adele won't have any collaboration's with Beyonce on her upcoming album that will be avaible on Friday. Adele is just keeping fans open to the idea of the saying, "maybe one day." Hopefully these two do a duet soon!
Back in 2011, Adele claimed that it was possible that the two would work together in the future. She said at that time, "I was about to meet Beyonce and I had a full-blown anxiety attack. Then she popped in looking gorgeous, and said, 'You're amazing! When I listen to you I feel like I'm listening to God.'"
Besides Yonce drama, Adele revealed some of her favorite music artist. The singer said that she was in love with Lana Del Rey.
"I love Lana Del Rey. I love her very, very much. I've never met her though but I just think she, she like stirs my soul. I love Alabama Shakes. And I think Brittany is, the way I first felt when Etta James, when I first heard her."
The 27-year-old just performed for the NBC one-night only concert special at Radio City Music Hall in New York on Tuesday, Nov. 17. The event was recorded, and will be called: Adele Live in New York City. The concert is scheduled to air Monday, Dec. 14, at 10 p.m. This will be Adele's first time performing in the United States since 2011.
Adele's first single, "Hello," became the first song to be downloaded one million times in a week for the United States.
This week, Adele released her music video for her song: "When We Were Young (Live at The Church Studios)."
