Ben Affleck & Jennifer Garner Spend Thanksgiving Holiday With Kids In Spite of Divorce

Holidays are supposed to be the season to bring families together, and it seems that this is exactly what Thanksgiving is doing for the Affleck/Garner family. While Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced that they were getting a divorce earlier this year, it seems that the couple is trying to make things work for their kids in spite of the split, at least for the turkey day holiday.

According to E! News, the former lovers will be gathering around the table together with their three kids, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 2, for the holidays this year. The pair is allegedly trying their best to keep things as normal as possible for the children.

"They are a unit," an insider explained to the news site. "They are all about the kids and making sure they are okay. They are committed to parenting together."

People also reported on the festivities saying, "Jen and Ben are figuring out right now how they can best spend the holidays together." The insider explained and added that Garner "wants to get along with Ben for the kids' sake."

Affleck and Garner, will be joined by members of both sides of the family, as they feel that even though they are no longer romantically together as a couple, that they feel that being a family is the most important thing, even despite all their issues.

"There are still a lot of issues, but she has put them aside for the sake of her family," a source reported. "Jen's number one priority is the kids and always has been...When they [she and Ben] spend time together, it is for the kids." 

Life & Style reported that the couple reunited over the weekend on November 14 when they were spotted out and about in Los Angeles together.
