Shah Rukh Khan on His Relation With Kajol: "I find it strange to Refer to Her as a Friend"
Dilwale movie song "Gerua" has again proved that when it comes to romance on screen, there is no other pair who can even come close to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol Devgan. At the launch of the first song in Mumbai, Khan said that he feels very strange when he has to refer Devgan as his friend.
The romantic song featuring Khan and Devgan was launched at Maratha Theatre in Mumbai on Nov. 17. This is in fact the same theatre where Khan and Devgan's starrer, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge was played for continuous 1,009 weeks. The Dilwale song was launched by Khan, Devgan, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon and during the event, Khan said that Devgan is very close to him.
"Kajol is such a close friend of mine that I find it strange to refer to her as a friend. It's been 20 to 22 years since we began with our careers. We have a very comfortable relationship and there is a certain ease," Khan said.
According to NDTV Movies, Khan also added that they both care for each other in a very easy way, since they have known each other from the past two decades. The duo has worked before in some blockbuster Bollywood films like, Kuch-Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and My Name is Khan. Their onscreen chemistry has always been admired by all of their fans and supporters.
"Comfort, love, care and genuine desire is there. Even if she's not there in a film with me, and wherever she is, I'll hope that the best things happen to her. She will also wish the same for me," Khan added.
When at the song launch, it was asked about the extraordinary locations and cinematography of the song, Khan said that they never thought that they were doing something extraordinary. "Just being ordinary makes it look so special," DNA India reported.
Dilwale is set to release on Dec. 18, 2015 and with the huge fan following of Khan and Devgan, Indian critics are hoping for a massive weekend opening.
