'American Idol' Season 15 Spoilers- Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Return With All Past Judges
It is the end of an era, as American Idol will be taking its final bow when the singing completion premieres its 15th and final season this January. While the show has been through many different evolutions with different judges joining the panel throughout the years, including Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, and Jennifer Lopez to name a few, host Ryan Seacrest is revealing that all the show's judges will be back for one last hurrah.
That's right, even with former judges, Carey and Ellen DeGeneres speaking out in the past saying that joining the reality series was one of the worst decision they have ever made, it seems that they could possibly be returning to their seat on the panel, at least according to PEOPLE.
Seacrest, who has been with the show since it's first season, opened up to Access Hollywood, where he told the news series that the team was reaching out to the judges in hopes that they would wanted to do something for the last season.
"I've spoken to all of them recently and we as a team have talked to them about coming back to do something for the final season," the radio host explained, adding, "They are going to do it, it's just a matter of figuring what to do with them."
While Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban are holding down the fort as the main judges this season, the series is hoping that it can bring back some of the other gang, including Steven Tyler, Kara DioGuardi, Randy Jackson and the above mentioned, Carey, Minaj, Cowell, DeGeneres and Abdul.
It was reported that Fox was canceling the series earlier this year, after the show has seen a steady decline in ratings for the last couple of years.
