'Teen Mom 2' Leah Messer Custody Taken Away Discussed By Kailyn Lowry!

Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer is still trying to get her twin girls back after losing custody to ex-husband Corey Simms, but she has MTV costar Kailyn Lowry on her side. Kailyn recently defended the West Virginia mom against those criticizing her for her parenting skills.

"I think taking care of yourself as a person and a mother first is always important," the Love Is Bubblegum author told Radar Online. "And if she has to go through some bumps in the road to get into a healthy place, then nobody should knock her for it."

"I want to stay out of that as much as possible because I feel like it's such a touchy subject and I don't want to step on any toes or anything," she continued. "We just talk more of like work and stuff like that and the kids."

Recently, Corey and his wife Miranda Simms welcomed a baby they named Remington to their brood. Kailyn also gave them some advice now that Ali and Aleeah are part of their family full time.

"I wish them the best and just patience," the Love & Lowry designer said. "I never even had twins, but I know that kids take patience. They know that."

As MStars News reported, Leah had to defend herself against rumors that she has been suicidal ever since losing her girls. After a source told Radar Online that "Leah seems deeply depressed, and everyone is very concerned. She can't imagine life without her girls," the reality mom took to Twitter to rail against the report.

"Articles that are sent to me are unbelievable ! I am far from being suicidal because my girls need me happy and healthy ! #craziness," she wrote.
