Donald Trump Admits He Did Not Fact Check Racist Homicide Statistics Before Retweeting

Another day, another racist comment from the real estate mogul and reality TV-star, Donald Trump. How can voters keep up? Trump has decided to push the black vote further and further away by retweeting an inaccurate chart full of crime statistics that have a heavy slant on race.

The chart displays the false claims that the percentage of blacks killed by the police is 1%, Black killed by whites is 2%, whites killed by police is 3%, whites killed by whites is 16%, whites killed by blacks is 81% and blacks killed by blacks is 97%.

The Root reports that the 2014 FBO data proves that "82 percent of murders involving white victims were committed by other white people, while only 14 percent were committed by black people...Crime experts have concluded that homicides are most likely to occur among people of the same race because people are usually murdered by someone they already know, and most people are primarily know people of their own race."

Trump was a guest on Monday with Fox News' Bill O'Reilly where he was able to address his tweet, "Bill, I didn't tweet. I retweeted somebody that was supposedly an expert, and it was also a radio show."

According to a Washington Post transcript of the exchange, O'Reilly stated, "Don't put your name stuff life this, 'cause it makes the other, it gives them stuff to tell the ill-formed voter that you're a racist...You just handed them a platter."

To make matters worse, earlier this week Trump addressed the beating of the black lives matter activist at an Alabama rally on Fox News, "Maybe he should have been roughed up, because it was absolutely disgusting what he was doing. I have a lot of fans, and they were not happy about it. And this was a very obnoxious guy who was a trouble-maker who was looking to make trouble."
