'The X-Files' Revival Spoilers: Do David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson Mulder/Scully "Believe?"
Back by popular demand, Fox has released new promo images for their iconic sci-fi/horror series. In the upcoming revival of The X-Files, do agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) still "believe in aliens?"
As we previously mentioned,13 years have passed since FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully were on the TV screen solving weird and supernatural cases. The reboot of Fox's popular sci-fi series continues with an all-new 6 episode arc. Not only are the two leads back to reprise their iconic roles, creator Chris Carter will takeover as showrunner once again for the franchise that launched his and many other careers.
According to E! Online, Fox has gone all out with the creepy posters. One of the images invokes the classic poster that can be found in Mulder's abandoned office. In the official trailer, Mulder even rips the sheet in half with his foot. The other banner features an giant X over an eyeball that sort of looks infected by the black ooze.
In an interview with The Sun, The Fall actress teases if Scully find herself confronting extraterrestrials, "No, no aliens this year, sorry. It will be scary. I hope it will be good. There'll be some laughs and I think overall, even though I haven't seen any of it, I'm most pleased with the fact it feels like what we used to deliver."
Anderson adds, "And that's kind of what the audience and the fans seem to want. I think we have accomplished that. So hopefully it will be successful."
