‘SOA’s’ Charlie Hunnam Looking to Fight Conor McGregor in the Octagon?
Actor Charlie Hunnam might have played a badass on FX's hit series Sons of Anarchy, but is he tough enough to take on UFC champ Conor McGregor? Well, it looks as if even he doesn't think so – but that doesn't mean he's not willing to give it a shot.
Hunnam was recently bombarded by TMZ in Los Angeles and asked about the training for his new film Knights of the Roundtable. The gossip site heard that he had watched a lot of McGregor's videos online to get a fighting style down.
Hunnam admitted to TMZ that he's a huge fan of the Irish fighter and then told the cameras that, being that he had just lost a ton of weight for a new film, he had thought for a split second that perhaps he could fight Conor McGregor.
"But I don't know if that would go too well for me," Hunnam concluded with a smile.
Though he did give himself about 7.5 seconds before getting knocked out by McGregor.
Which, no offense to the actor, seems high.
Naturally the comment only made TMZ urge onward, asking if he would ever fight McGregor in a charity match of some sort. He thought about it, adding that maybe if McGregor had his hands behind his back, but ultimately noted, "No, I don't think so."
So, while Hunnam is intelligent enough to realize that McGregor would undoubtedly take him out, we're curious if GOP frontrunner Donald Trump is going to take the champ's advice. TMZ recently asked McGregor about Trump mocking Ronda Rousey for losing to Holly Holm. And, well, McGregor suggested the billionaire shut his mouth.
