Nicki Minaj 'Super Bass' Covered by Jane Lynch on 'Conan': 'Glee' Star Cast in 'Murder Police' Fox TV Show [VIDEOS]
"Glee" star and funny woman Jane Lynch is the latest person to cover Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" rap. Singers such as Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez have given it a try in the past, and who can forget those adorable little British girls Sophia Grace Brownlee and her five year old cousin Rosie, who performed on "Ellen." Lynch was on Conan O'Brien's late night TBS talk show "Conan" Monday night and she provided her own rendition.
The Emmy winning actress was talking to Conan about meeting Minaj at Elton John's Oscars party and she remembered that she actually rapped "Super Bass" on Glee one time. So of course, she gave the studio audience a verse, to prove she can get down as well. Turns out, Lynch is pretty darn good. Check it out.
Conan jokingly told Lynch, "You can use that so many times in your life" after she told the late night host that she worked so hard at perfecting the song. So what did you think?
It's hard to outdo Sophia Grace and Rosie's performance on "Ellen." The two girls' performance on Ellen Degeneres' daytime talk show has accumulated over 55-million views on YouTube up until this date. So who will be the next person to cover Minaj's "Super Bass?" Here's an idea. We should have Nicki judge every-one's cover of "Super Bass." This may help her with her judging skills on "American Idol."
Whose "Super Bass" performance did you enjoy more?
In addition to her role in "Glee," Lynch was just recently cast along with Wilmer Valderrama in Fox's new animated comedy "Murder Police." EW.com is reporting that the network has ordered 13 episodes of the show set to debut next season. According to EW, the comedy follows a neurotic detective named Manuel Sanchez along with his unreliable partners at the police precinct. Lynch is playing a working mom and detective and Valderrama will play an undercover cop named Donel.
