Tyson Fury Defeats Wladimir Klitschko, Celebrates by Singing Aerosmith to Wife
Tyson Fury defeated Wladimir Klitschko by a unanimous points decision for the heavyweight title bout in Dusseldorf, Germany on Saturday night. In doing so, Fury ended Klitschko's 22 fight unbeaten run. The victory was nothing short of sensational. But perhaps even more sensational was Fury's post fight interview. He praised everyone, gave thanks, and sang Aerosmith to his wife.
The surprising result handed the near 40-year-old Klitschko his first defeat since 2004. Over the last decade Klitschko has owned the heavyweight division – to the point that the Daily Mail called this the biggest upset in boxing since James Buster Douglas beat Mike Tyson 25 years ago. Fury, 13 years to Klitschko's junior, was able to trouble the former champion with his quick hands and feet, ultimately doing enough to win a unanimous decision. It all made for a great night of boxing, not to mention a great night of TV. As did the post fight interviews.
"I came here, to Germany, in the Lions den, to a great, great champion in Wladimir Klitschko," said Fury, beginning the post fight interview. "My lord, my savior, my rock, my salvation, give me the glory tonight. In the mighty name of Jesus I thank you."
The victory also meant a great deal to him, and his team.
"This is a dream come true," he said. "We've worked so hard for this. It's been six months – I've put everything in the gym for this – and I just can't believe I've got it."
He then thanked everybody from Lennox Lewis, to Wladimir Klitschko, to the fans, and finally, to his wife. However, a simple thanks wasn't enough. Oh no! He wanted to do more. Naturally, he sang a song.

It wasn't the most in tune. The microphone was surely caked in sweat. And, at times, it wasn't totally comfortable to watch. But it was from the heart, and it was absolutely glorious.
For Fury, and the boxing world, this will surely go down as a moment to treasure.
