‘The Revenant’: Leonardo DiCaprio Raped by a Bear? Apparently Not…

Just yesterday, it was testified by Drudge Report that Leonardo DiCaprio gets raped by a bear in his newest film The Revenant. And while Drudge appears to detail the alleged sexual assault, bear-to-human, within the film, several outlets have now come out to deny the report and claim that the Academy Award nominee is rape-free in the movie.

And probably in life as well. We're guessing.

Anyway, where did this thought come from? Who knows, but Matt Drudge claims that in the film, the "explicit moment" has caused quite a stir of controversy, as DiCaprio can be seen being flipped over and thrusted by said bear.

"He is raped -- twice!" says the story.

Reporters who went to an early screening of the upcoming film, which is set for a Christmas release date, claim that it's a mauling that takes place, and not necessarily a rape.

GQ says that, while they understand Drudge's misinterpretation of the maul scene, "no such rape takes place." Furthermore, the GQ writer posted a series of texts with his boss, who attended the screening.

"First of all, it's a female bear," wrote GQ's Devin Gordon. "Second, the bear is pretty evidently MAULING leo, not mounting him. Third, of f*cking course not." [sic]

Fox, the film's distributor, has now come out speaking about the alleged rape scene, noting, "As anyone who has seen the movie can attest, the bear in the film is a female bear who attacks Hugh Glass because she feels he might be threatening her cubs. There is clearly no rape scene with a bear."

See, DiCaprio is rape-free.

The Revenant opens in theaters on Christmas Day. Our guess is 70% of the film's attendees will be there merely to see what in God's name Matt Drudge was describing.
