Designer Donatella Versace Takes Gigi Hadid Selfie On Instagram For Brother Gianni's Birthday
Access granted, thanks to Italian designer Donatella Versace who has recently started an Instagram account, perhaps as a tribute to her brother Gianni since she launched it on his birthday, less than 24-hours ago and is following only two accounts, versace_official and versus_versace, both accounts handled by her staff.
So far, Versace has posted two photos with Gigi Hadid and 8-hours later, she had 16,518 likes and counting. The photo caption says, "@gigihadid, you're amazing!" The Daily Front Row says, "It was a shot of the designer alongside supermodel Gigi Hadid taking a selfie. Smart move: Hadid has 9.2 million followers and counting."
They also reported that a press release was circulated by the brand Versace that said the designer would be "sharing images from her life, insights from behind the scenes at Versace, her thoughts and opinions and her musical and cultural passions. Day to day, it will show her not just as an artistic director and businesswoman, an inspiration to woman around the world for her passion, dedication and energy for life."
The fashion maven and the model were perched nearby mountains in shades, wedge-heeled boots with a pair of earth-toned paints, a tank top and her signature blond mane, taking a selfie. Her profile tag says, "Me, Donatella. I believe in individuality and the freedom to be whoever you want to be. And by the way... I am the Designer."
While she may not be an expert when it comes to social media, the 60-year old icon lended a few tips during an InStyle interview and says, "Looking safe is never chic. It's ordinary," she revealed. "Instead, you owe it to yourself to discover what allows you to be yourself, whether it's indulging in a leather bag that speaks to you, or playing up-rather than hiding-what others deem a flaw."
And when it comes to confidence and finesse she advised, "Done skillfully and with a positive attitude, highlighting the very thing that sets you apart from others is what will make you striking and unique."
